YFT Launches Health & Fitness Program

Just like Fergie, we here at YFT are working on our fitness!

Youth First Texas is super excited to launch our brand new Health and Fitness Program, a collaboration with Anytime Fitness. Dennis Centorbi, a faithful volunteer, created this opportunity to inspire our youth to have a positive body image and a motivated attitude about living healthy.bigstockphoto_three_girl_friends_celebrating_2121402

Launching on Saturday, May 2nd, the Health and Fitness program will run every Saturday from 10:30am-12:00pm at Lee Park for a total of 6 weeks.

To help us reach our fitness goals, Anytime Fitness is providing certified trainers and nutritionists to coach the class. There will be a confidential monthly weigh-in at the park, and there will also be a monthly Q&A with the trainers and nutritionists.

The work-out agenda will include:

10:30am-11:00am * Powerwalking

11:00am-12:00pm * Stretching & Aerobic Exercise

Please wear athletic clothing: tennis shoes, sports bra/bro (hey,  you never know!), shorts, tshirt, and towel!

*Iced water, equipment, and mats will be provided by Anytime Fitness

After participating for 4 weeks, health and fitness club members will earn a YFT/Anytime Fitness T-shirt. After participating for 8 weeks, an Anytime Fitness towel will be earned!
