Thanksgiving, “Confessions” and Holiday Goodness!
The holiday season is fast approaching, and it seems everything is picking up the pace. Festive displays have taken over department stores, and you can already hear carols floating in the air. Youth First Texas has it’s metaphorical plate full as well, offering some great opportunities for families (of choice or of blood) and friends to get together and celebrate with one another.
On November 18, Youth First Texas will be hosting its annual Thanksgiving Feast at the Center. The spread includes a variety of holiday classics, as well as favorite recipes we all want to share with one another, to show what foods make the season special for us. Amid the turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce and who knows what else, it’s sure to be a wonderful time!
On Thursday, December 9, Steven Fales brings his acclaimed one-man show “Confessions of a Mormon Boy” to the Eisemann Center Bank of America Theatre. This one night-only performance benefits Youth First Texas. Students can purchase tickets for $25, Regular Seating is available for $40, and there are limited VIP Seating tickets available for $150 which also include a copy of the book, an opportunity to meet Steven Fales and a cocktail and dessert reception following the performance.
Then on Saturday, December 11, Steven Fales will be holding his “Flying Solo Workshop” at Youth First Texas. Participants will learn how to create and launch their own one-man shows. Spots are limited, however.
Also coming up, the annual Youth First Texas Holiday Event, on December 16. With a White Elephant celebration, you never really know what you might walk away with, but you’re sure to have fun!
