YFT NAMES MATTHEW HEIN AS CHIEF PRIDE OFFICER 2012

Submitted by on Thursday, 16 August 2012One Comment

Pride is an intrinsic part of the LGBTQ experience, and showing pride and activism is part of Youth First Texas’ mission and vision. Tomorrow’s leaders are born today. Coordinating all things during Dallas Pride for Youth First Texas is Matthew Hein.

Matthew is a digital, social and brand marketing leader with 10+ years in healthcare and non-profits. “He brings a lot to the table” — said Chris-James Cognetta, Chair of the Board. Continuing he said “We need someone who is energetic and skilled in promoting our commitment to building a future together with the youth of our community.”

Matt has taken this role on with great verve. Working with the youth, he is creating some amazing activities for Pride week.  These events for pride week are ambitious and thoughtful. He has even found a way to include the adults in the community to participate in our annual Chicken Fried Pride event on September 13th!

Matt is a new and enthusiastic volunteer at YFT and we are glad he is aboard!
